I’ve been diving deeper into my mental health research lately, trying to find various solutions available to people but also overlooked. My goal is to stress some of the readily available resources people can use for their mental health improvement. Here is what I found:

Technology can support mental health in various ways, such as through apps like Calm, Headspace, and Moodpath that promote mindfulness, or teletherapy platforms like BetterHelp that connect users with licensed therapists. AI chatbots also provide emotional support, and websites help educate people about mental health and how to manage it. However, when technology isn’t effective, alternatives like in-person counseling, family and peer support, and healthy lifestyle habits, such as good sleep, nutrition, and social interaction, are essential. Psychological strategies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) help individuals cope with stress, anxiety, and negative thought patterns. Trusted conversations with others can also prevent emotional suppression. Meanwhile, data collected by care facilities is analyzed for patterns to better understand mental health trends. Challenges such as social media’s impact on self-esteem, poor sleep, lack of real-life social interaction, academic stress, and limited access to care continue to affect teens’ mental health, often worsening if left unaddressed. I hope I can somehow get this knowledge across the society so people know that they can get help after all.
